Francesc Ferrer Sala founded in 1861 the Sala House, the first brand of wine exports San Sadurní. His son, John Sala Tubella, continued the business, and after the marriage of his daughter Dolors Sala Vivé with Pere Ferrer Bosch there started in cava business in 1914. From the moment they decided to produce only cava, a natural sparkling wine. Settled their cellars at San Sadurní, a town in the heart of the Penedès region.
Colour: Intense straw-yellow colour with a fine, persistent bubble.
Aroma: On the nose it is elegant, with ageing aromas on a very pleasant toasted background.
Taste: Nice, soft carbonic sensation with a good balance between acidity and body. Rich in tastes and ample with an intense ending.
